Obituary: Shackelford, James Howard

Age 53

SHACKELFORD, James Howard James H. Shackelford “Shack”, age 53, died at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane on Sunday, December 14, 2014.

Born December 2, 1961 in Maywood, CA, he lived in Riverside, CA before settling in Spokane.

He worked as a manager and salesman in the auto industry.

James was a fan of baseball, horseracing, and watching movies.

An emotional man, James loved to laugh and enjoyed celebrating holidays and special events with family and friends.

Survivors include the love of his life and wife of 12 years Rachel, and son Adam Shackelford (Erica) all of Spokane; stepdaughters, Ashley Kragt of Seattle and Amy Androes (Eric) of California.

Also surviving are his twin brother John (Rhonda) Shackelford and sisters Toni Spann and Dora Keeser (James), all in California.

He was preceded in death by his parents Kramer and Inez “Billie” Shackelford.

A viewing will be held on Monday, December 22nd from 10:00am-12:00pm at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home, 1306 N Pines Rd, Spokane Valley, with a graveside service following at Riverside Memorial Park at 2:00pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held afterward.

James had many beloved pets throughout the years.

He loved all animals and was known to take on any that needed care.
