Spokane Winter Glow Spectacular - Riverfront Park is getting dressed up for the holidays with more than 25 lighted displays, an Animal Light Zoo and wagon and carriage rides available. Through Dec. 31. Begins nightly at 5 p.m. Riverfront Park, 507 N. Howard St. Free.

A T. Rex Named Sue - Through Jan. 4. See a fully assembled skeleton cast of the most complete Tyrannosaurus rex ever discovered. The exhibition, assembled at Mobius Science Center, will also feature visitor-controlled mechanical models, videos and free-standing interactive exhibits. Hours are Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Sundays, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., closed Mondays. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Mobius Science Center, 811 W. Campbell House Holidays - Campbell House comes alive for the holiday season with living history demonstrations, festive decorations and music box tunes. Regular museum admission pricing applies. Cross-Country Ski Lessons - Ages 13 and older. Learn the basics of cross-country skiing skills at Mt. Spokane Selkirk Nordic Area, taught by our certified cross-country ski instructors. Cross-country skiing is a wonderful way to spend time with family and friends during the winter while getting great exercise outdoors. Camp Youth Winter Adventure - Two-day camp; not overnight. Kids ages 9-12 can learn cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at 49 Degrees North Mountain Resort from our certified instructors and travel the trails romping around in the snow through old growth cedar forests. We will also learn to build snow caves and search for animal tracks. Please bring a lunch each day. Transportation, snowshoes, skiing equipment, trail passes and instruction provided. 8 a.m. $79. Kids Night Out - 14th annual event. Celebrate the New Year with a family-friendly festival of arts and entertainment as part of First Night Spokane. Resolution Run - Runners and walkers make their way through the snow and ice downtown. Each runner/walker is given an opportunity to write a resolution that they carry with them throughout the course. As they cross the finish line, the runner/walker then throws the resolution into our commemorate fire pit as a symbolic gesture to the New Year. No button necessary.
