Obituary: Cass, William Byron

Age 89

CASS, William Byron Passed peacefully in his sleep December 28, 2014.

Bill, as everyone called him, was born to Ethel and John Cass in Missoula, Montana on September 29, 1925.

He lived in Avery, Idaho until 1931.

He lived in Lapwai, Idaho from 1931-1935.

Bill worked for the Milwaukee Railroad.

During his employment Bill served in the Army for 25 months in France then returned to the Milwaukee Railroad to work for 40 years.

He retired in September of 1985.

Bill was a long time resident of Malden, Washington.

Bill enjoyed teasing people and debating issues of religion and politics.

Bill is survived by cousins, Robert and Donna Rock of West Jordan, UT, David and Sharon Rock of Independence, MO, Andrea and Fred Maker of Missoula, MT, and Sandy Nicolai of Great Falls, MT.

Robert and Donna would like to express their deepest gratitude to Luba Ftefoglo of Park Hills Adult Family Home and her husband and children for the love and care they provided to Bill.

Bill was never happier than when he was admitted to their care.

They are true angels in disguise.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 2, 2015 at the Pine City Cemetery.
