Yaks trip Sasquatch

YAKIMA – Joel Yellow Owl poured in 23 points and Kaipo Paie added 20 points and 18 rebounds to power the Yakima Valley Yaks to a 91-86 victory over the Community Colleges of Spokane Sasquatch in a Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges men’s basketball game on Wednesday.

The Yaks erased a three-point halftime deficit by outscoring the Sasquatch 50-42 in the second half.

Dean Richey totaled a game-high 29 points for CCS, while Chase Haack added 21 points.

Jack Nygaard had nine rebounds to lead CCS.
