7 Spokane Youth Symphony Concerto Competition 2014 6 p.m. Sunday, the Davenport Hotel, Marie Antoinette Ballroom, 10 S. Post St. Members will perform concerto solos before a panel of judges. 8 Fat Tuesday Jazz Mass 7 p.m. Tuesday, St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 316 E. 24th Ave. The mass was composed by Dan Keberle, Whitworth professor of music. Keberle will play trumpet and will be joined by other local jazz musicians and St. Mark’s 50-voice choir. Guest preacher is Rev. Janeen Steer from Gonzaga University. 9 Celebrating the Arts – Film Food, Wine and Visual Arts 7 p.m. Wednesday, Northwest Museum of Arts and Culture, 2316 W. First Ave. Film double feature as part of the Northwest Bach Festival. “A Matter of Taste – Serving up Paul Liebrandt” at 7 p.m., portrays one of the most talented and controversial chefs in the food world. “Impromptu” at 9:15 p.m., tells the story of writer George Sand (Judy Davis) falling in love with Frederic Chopin (Hugh Grant).
