BootSlam – All ages performance poetry competition organized by Spokane Poetry Slam. Poets will have three minutes per round to perform their original work, without the aid of costumes, props or musical accompaniment. Five audience judges, chosen at random, score the work, and the poet with the highest score after two rounds wins $50. Global Book Club – Auntie’s is home to Spokane’s chapter of the Desire Map book club. With “A Guide to Creating Goals with Soul,” author Danielle LaPorte is looking to start a revolution, teaching people to get clear on how they want to feel in life before they lay out goals.
