WSU Cougars: Week at a glance
COMING UP: Sunday vs. Utah, 4 p.m. (Pac-12 Networks)
OUTLOOK: The Cougars will likely be without leading scorer DaVonte Lacy once again when WSU takes on Utah on Sunday. That’s bad news for the team no matter what, but with Utah proving to be one of the tougher outs in the Pac-12 it could be fatal. Larry Krystkowiak’s squad was projected to finish ninth in the conference by the media, but the Utes took Oregon to overtime and beat Oregon State in Salt Lake City. Entering Wednesday the Utes were third in the conference in scoring at 85.5 points per game, while sitting second in scoring defense. Not only will the Cougars need to defend well to beat the Utes, they’ll need to find someone who can replace Lacy’s scoring, and quickly.
