 Mike Wallace has joined Bernardo|Wills Architects as an associate architect. Wallace is licensed in Idaho, Montana, Oregon and California and is a member of the American Institute of Architects Spokane Chapter. He has 28 years of experience in the industry and was with Wolfe Architectural Group.

Education

 Jan Wigen has been appointed to the Community Colleges of Spokane’s board of trustees. Wigen is the senior principal and consultant at Mercer Health and Benefits. She has been with Mercer since 1999.

Finance

 Independent Wealth Connections has promoted Dennis Reed to vice president of investments. Reed has more than 30 years of experience working with assets, investments, liability management, risk assessments, as well as trust estate and fiduciary strategies.

 Vasily Senchenko and Travis Wandell have joined Cogo Capital of Spokane. Senchenko is a senior loan officer and Wandell is the branch manager. Senchenko worked in the telecommunication industry as a general manager for four years and Wandell was a direct lending loan officer with Flagstar Bank in Seattle.

 Kevin Betz, a financial adviser with Ameriprise Financial, has earned his Certified Financial Planner designation. Betz earned the designation by completing coursework in financial planning, risk management, investments, tax planning and management, retirement, employee benefits, and estate planning. He has been with Ameriprise for 14 years.

Health care

 Kirk Rowbotham has been named chief medical officer for Providence Medical Group, the physician division of Providence Health Care. Rowbotham has worked as division lead for medicine at PMG for 18 months and as the interim chief medical officer since April 2013. He has practiced in Spokane for 20 years and is board certified in internal medicine.

Law

 John Bury has joined Winston & Cashatt, Lawyers. Bury has practiced in the Eastern and Western Districts of Washington Federal and Bankruptcy Courts and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He was with the firm of Murphy, Bantz and Bury for 39 years. Bury’s areas of emphasis include bankruptcy, real estate and transactions, and commercial law and entity formation.

Miscellaneous

 The Fairmount Memorial Association has named Jeffrey Hooper as the controller. He was the controller at Next IT Corp. and the chief financial officer at Paras Construction.

Nonprofit

 The Spokane Public Library Foundation board of directors has named Sarah Bain as director of development.

 Theresa Boyer has been named associate director of gift planning and assistant vice president for the Washington State University Foundation. Boyer worked as director of development for Washington State University’s College of Nursing. Prior to that, she worked five years as director of gift planning for the University of Montana.

 Several individuals have been accepted for membership in the Spokane Downtown Rotary Club 21: Stephen Ball of the Salvation Army; Maya Murphy of LeCole Investors LLC; Jerry Hynes of Free Rein Therapeutic Riding; Elizabeth Batchelder of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network; Matthew Sonderen of Sonderen Packaging; and Jake Krummel of Numerica Credit Union.

 Reid Wilmotte has joined Keller Williams Realty Spokane. Wilmotte was the Northwest regional director for NuCalm.
