MORGAN, Donald Q.

(Age 92) Passed away January 16, 2014.

Don was born in Innisfail, Alberta, Canada in 1921, one of three children of Mac and Iva Morgan.

He graduated from North Central High School and did two years of college when WWII broke.

He served as a B25 Bombardier pilot as lst Lieutenant flying missions in Africa, Sicily and Corsica.

At the end of the war he taught flying at Felts Field until going to work for Alaska Airlines.

From 1952-1960 he flew for various airlines and in 1960 purchased the Wayside Inn, renamed Half Moon Inn in Colbert, WA and worked long hours until retirement.

He was a life member of the 57th.

and a member of the 489 Bombardment Squadron of the 340 Bombardment Group.

Don is survived by four daughters Darlene (Steve) Flinn, Donna (Frank) Kendall, Rosanne (Jim) Burchett, and Carol Samberg; numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rose Morgan.

Memorial Service 11AM Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Grace Church of Deer Park, 502 S. Colville Street, Deer Park, WA 99006.
