Feedback: Favorite spots to watch fireworks

Happy Fourth of July! In honor of the occasion, we asked our Facebook friends for their favorite spots to watch fireworks around the Inland Northwest, with bonus points given for specificity. Here’s a sampling of their responses:

Maranda Little

The high school in Suncrest … they do an amazing fireworks show (and) it’s not overly crowded.

Zara Eads

On the pedestrian bridge that crosses over Hamilton. I park in the park off Mission then walk the Centennial Trail to Riverfront Park. Takes all the hassle out of driving downtown and fighting for parking.

Tyler Pisani

We were in Sacred Heart last year after the birth of my son. Best view I have ever had and I grew up in Spokane.

Chris Eder

On the hill behind the Pullman High School. You can see across town to the park where the fireworks are shot off, and there are no crowds!

Rae Presnell

And give away our spot? Not!

Carrie Whitcomb

From a boat floating on the confluence of the Spokane and Columbia rivers watching the Two Rivers Marina show!

Theresa Allen

I like the bluff on Illinois, overlooking the river.

Tammy Bailey

Riverfront Park on the lawn behind the pavilion. Great spot!

Norah Bee

My backyard watching the free Stateline raceway fireworks.

John S Pardee

On a boat near the fireworks barge on CdA lake.

David Dean

On a houseboat on Lake Pend Oreille by Bayview

Karly Muller

Hands down, Grandview on Priest Lake! Best show I’ve ever seen.

Bob Salsbury

For Spokane: Top of Rock Pointe parking garage

Aaron Roberts

Providence employees are allowed to watch the fireworks from the top of the parking structure

Christine Hardy Kackman

Endicott has a great display and ice cream social!

Ashlee Wilson

Up on upper Riverview Drive (in CdA). There’s not many people around and you can see all the fireworks from downtown CdA.

Vitaliy Maksimov

Drive through Airway Heights, where folks set off fireworks right off the street.

Stacey Pluff

On the patio at the Red Tail Bar & Grill at the Coeur d’Alene Casino!

Norma Richards

My family and friends go to the Inland Imaging parking lot. The fireworks are shot high enough that we can see. And we do not have to deal with the traffic downtown. My kids are very happy about it. That’s our fun day on the 4th of July.

Matthew Main

Cliff Drive on the South Hill

Brianna Nowatchik

Over in Kendall Yards.

Tim Scott Burkhardt

Hill’s on Priest Lake with friends

Sheryl Williams

Medical Lake with family and friends.

Paul Matejovsky

Try Hope, Idaho. Great display from barge in Ellisport Bay, easy to see from boat, restaurants, or simply from vehicle parked along highway.
