Soap Box Derby set for Liberty Lake park

The seventh annual Soap Box Derby race, sponsored by Gonzaga University’s Alumni Association and Spokane East Rotary, will be held July 19 in Liberty Lake Pavillion Park, on Molter Road between East Country Vista Road and Valley Way. The event runs from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. with lunch at 11 a.m. Volunteers are still needed and special-needs children who are interested in racing are encouraged to sign up right away.
