Obituary: Gillogly, Lyle
Age 86
He was born July 17, 1927 in Cloquet City, Minnesota to Clement and Elvera (Selen) Gillogly.
He was raised there and attended school until joining the Navy.
After his years of service he returned to the Northwest where he met and married Betty Lorenz on January 7, 1958.
Lyle operated heavy equipment on multiple projects and was known as being a hard, dependable worker.
He loved the outdoors and fishing, and spent numerous hours on the road with his wife traveling throughout the states.
He loved wildlife and visiting national parks.
Though he had a rough exterior, he was gentle and kind and loved playing with his numerous nieces and nephews.
Lyle was a special person and will be greatly missed.
Lyle is survived by his wife, Betty Gillogly; a brother, Wendell Gillogly; and a sister-in-law, Ina Lorenz; nephews, Dayvid Gillogly and John Campisi; nieces, Kathi Tauer and Sue Welsh; great-nephews, Shawn Gillogly; Lukas, Lincoln and Logan Welsh; and Adrian Tauer and great-nieces, Shannon Jensen, Darian and Jadyn Campisi, and Leah Welsh.
He is also survived by his godchildren, Shane, Shawn, and Trevor Thur.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 5, 2014 at 2:00pm at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church with viewing an hour prior, entombment will follow at Fairmount Memorial Park in Spokane, WA.
