Obituary: Kyle, Jr., Paul

KYLE, Jr., Paul (Age 75) Paul passed away June 7th after doing what he loved - riding his Harley.

He stopped to enjoy the view and tragically had a heart attack.

Paul is now with his beloved wife, Sharon, who passed away in 2008.

Paul was born October 16, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN to Paul Sr. and Grayce Kyle and moved to this area in his childhood.

As a young man he worked with his father and brother, Dexter, in the family trucking business.

He married Sharon Fontagnere in 1958 and they had two daughters.

He retired from Central Premix after 35 years.

The family enjoyed many summers at area lakes; sail boating on Coeur d’Alene Lake and later at their summer place at Loon Lake where Paul mastered sail- boarding.

The kids at the beach called him “Grandpa man on the sailboard”.

Up for a challenge, he learned to snow ski in his fifties.

In recent years, his passion has been riding his motorcycle, exploring new places, revisiting old places and just “riding”.

It gives us some peace to know that is what he was doing on that day.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; his parents, Paul Sr. and Grayce; and his brother, Dexter.

He is survived by his daughters, Teri (Rusty) Stafford and Pam (Mike) Ewan; grandson, Nick Stafford; sisters Sally Anderson and Susan Oliver, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial will be announced at a later date.

He is deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family and friends as a quiet and strong, yet caring and kind man.
