Obituary: Page, Thomas James

Age 61

PAGE, Thomas James (Age 61) Beloved husband, father and “soul gatherer” passed away unexpectedly on June 21, 2014, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

He was the third of eight “little brats” born to Harold and Margaret Hruska Page on January 15, 1953, in Fairfield, CA.

The family settled in Spokane Valley in 1958 and he grew up a Valley boy.

He joined the Air Force out of high school and returned to Spokane Valley when his duty ended.

Shortly after, he met his “very bestest friend” in 1976 and convinced her to marry him in 1978.

He and his wife, Lynn, were married for 15 years before they were blessed by the surprise birth of their daughter, Emilie Rose and 18 months later by the birth of their son Gabriel James.

Being their father was the defining role and proudest accomplishment of his life.

He and Lynn celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary this spring.

He enjoyed his duties as “Lawn Ranger,” hanging with his buddies at the Casino and casting a line when he could.

He was a kind and gentle soul and will be deeply missed by his family and all who loved him.

Tom is survived by his wife, Lynn and son Gabriel Page at home; daughter, Emilie Page of Spokane; six siblings, Harry Page of Alaska, Carol Page, Alan Page, and Michael Page all of Kansas, Julie Page Thornberry of Arkansas, and Shannon Page of Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Patricia Page Andrus of New York.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 6, 2014, from 12:00 to 3:00 PM, at Center Place Event Center, 2426 N. Discovery Place, Spokane Valley.

Memorial donations may be made in Tom’s name to Spokane County Veterans Center, 1101 W. College Ave., Ste.

401, Spokane, WA 99201.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks to the security and EMT personnel at the Coeur d’Alene Casino for their compassion and dedication to Tom’s care.
