In brief: COPS Southeast holding meat sale

SOUTHEAST SPOKANE – COPS Southeast is having its annual fundraising meat sale.

One $75 order includes six coulotte steaks, six chicken breasts, six boneless pork steaks, three packs of four bratwurst sausages and four packs of four steakette burger patties.

COPS Southeast receives $10 from each order. Order at COPS Southeast, 2809 E. 29th Ave.

NAACP plans fish fry, jazz event

HILLYARD – Spokane NAACP is hosting a fish fry, jazz and open mic event on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Rogers High School, 1622 E. Wellesley Ave.

A plate of catfish, crappie or tilapia, with hush puppies, baked beans and coleslaw is $10.

Volunteers are still needed to help with setup and food prep beginning at 1 p.m.
