Obituary: Joslin, Jay
Jay was born in Olympia, WA., and was raised in Shelton, WA., where he graduated from Shelton High School.
Jay loved the auto body industry; as a child he built model cars and trucks.
From there he went into customizing and pro streeting his own vehicles.
He built a T-Bucket roadster, was in numerous custom car shows.
Jay continued in the Autobody customizing and restoration industry until he was unable to work.
His dream was to put a custom paint job on an airplane.
Jay loved camping and fishing.
Jay gave himself to Christ just before his passing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Bye Joslin; sister, DeeAnn Rowe; a brother, Mark Joslin; father, Wayne Joslin.
Jay has four stepchildren, Jesse of Spokane, WA., Carrie of Apache Junction, AZ., Terrie of Olympia, WA., and Sherrie of Coulee City, WA; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his aunts and uncles, Dorothy (Richard) of Baring, WA., Sandy (Carl) of Olympia, WA., Richard (Barbara) of Redmond, WA., Dona (Leon) of Bonney Lake, WA.
His favorite cousin, Shari; his niece, Nikki Jo; and many more cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives he loved; a brother and sister.
His most cherished loves were his granddaughter, Caitlin of Barstow, CA; his partner and best friend, Carole Joslin LaFors of Spokane, WA.
Finally the love of his life, Justin LaFors, his great-grandson whom he helped raise and considered his child.
Services will be held at a later date.
We will miss you here on this earth Jay we love you and miss you very much, see you in Heaven.
