Decadence: Spokane Chocolate Festival - Encore Events & Presentations will host a one-day indulgence in all things chocolate. The event features samples from chocolatiers, confectioners and chefs. Celebrate First Friday with in a unique display of delectable food, chocolate art, and live music. VIP attendees receive access to a private reception and the chocolate martini competition where four finalists will compete to create the best chocolate martini in town. Ticketholders can also add a wine and chocolate pairing class (hosted by Patit Creek Cellars) which will take place at 6 p.m. or a port and chocolate pairing class (hosted by John Allen of Vino! featuring ports by Knipprath Cellars). Snowlander PowderKeg - More than 20 local and regional breweries and cideries pouring their best. Mixology Book Release Cocktail Party - “Mixology: the Art of Classic Cocktails,” a project by Sheila Evans, celebrates mixing drinks and mixing paint in equal parts. From Aviation to Whiskey Sour, each one of a series of 18 still life paintings represents a different vintage drink. The images feature antique barware, along with the ingredients for each drink. The paintings, accompanied by recipes, appear in a new book written and published by the artist. The paintings will hang throughout Mizuna’s bar and new banquet space during the First Friday event. The Great Gatsby Fundraiser - An interactive dinner event benefitting the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre and Coeur d’Alene Sunrise Rotary. Lutefisk Dinner - The Sons of Norway, Tordenskjold Lodge, will hold its annual Lutefisk Dinner.
