Apple Cup slated for 7:30 in Pullman

The annual Apple Cup football game between rivals Washington and Washington State will start at 7:30 p.m. in Pullman on Nov. 29, the Pac-12 announced on Monday. The 107th edition of the state rivalry will be telecast on Fox Sports 1. It will be the regular season finale for both teams. The Huskies (6-5 overall, 2-5 in Pac-12) play host to Oregon State on Saturday in Husky Stadium. That game is also at 7:30. The Cougars (3-7, 2-5) will be at Arizona State on Saturday for a rare 10 a.m. game. In last year’s Apple Cup in Seattle, Gonzaga Prep standout Bishop Sankey ran for 200 yards to become UW’s all-time leading rusher. The game marked the first time in the last decade that UW and WSU were both eligible for a bowl game. The last Apple Cup in Pullman, 2012, was a 31-28 comeback win for Washington State.
