Relationship began two years ago

Certified nursing assistant Paulette Miller, of Kellogg, met Bill Lane, whom she cares for, two years ago, after his wife died and he advertised online for a travel companion. A story in the Sept. 29 Boomer U was unclear as to the length of their relationship.

Campaign donation numbers clarified

The nature of some campaign contributions was misstated in a column by Shawn Vestal on Wednesday. The column noted that Cathy McMorris Rodgers had received 232 individual contributions as of Sept. 30, and Joe Pakootas had received 57, according to the Federal Election Commission. Those figures reflect only contributions from individuals whose total donations over two years have exceeded $200.
