Man shot in North Spokane after dispute
Spokane Police received reports of a possible shooting in the 6000 block of North Mayfair Street around 6 p.m. Saturday, said police spokeswoman Monique Cotton.
There was a confrontation between two people at that location. “Both of them fled, one on a car and one on a bike,” Cotton said. “At that time we were unable to find any indication that someone had been shot.”
A short time later the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 6700 block of North Atlantic by someone who said he had been hit by a car while riding his bike. “It appears to be the same individual from the previous call,” Cotton said.
An examination of the man at a local hospital showed that he had been shot once in the forearm, Cotton said. Police are looking for the suspect. “We do believe the two were known to each other,” she said.
