Seager powers m’s past Texas
ARLINGTON, Texas – Kyle Seager had three hits, including a home run, to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 4-2 victory over the Texas Rangers on Saturday night.
Seager hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to tie the score 2-2, and singled and scored in the Mariners’ two-run eighth against Neal Cotts (2-9). Seager is hitting .362 with five home runs and 16 RBIs in 69 at-bats against the Rangers this season.
Seattle moved 11/2 games ahead of Detroit for the league’s second wild card.
