Obituary: Mclean, Margaret Ann
Age 84
She was a loving wife, mother, dairy farmer, and school bus driver.
Margaret Ann raised seven children and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews on the farm in Deer Park.
She had an open door for all and was a good and faithful servant of our Lord.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and friend to many.
Margaret Ann touched many lives through her gentle and caring nature, and her influence will continue to impact future generations.
Her Catholic faith was an important part of who she was and she prayed daily for safety and guidance for her immediate and extended family.
She will be missed by the community, her family, and her many friends, Margaret Ann McLean of Deer Park, WA, was born May 5, 1930 at Fort Collins, Colorado, to Theodore and Rose (Lamb) Wetzler.
She lived in Fort Collins until she was about seven, then she moved to Alliance, Nebraska where she received her schooling and graduated from high school.
She married Earl L. McLean in December 1949 and started her own family.
In 1953 they moved to Moses Lake, Washington.
In 1962 they moved to Deer Park, Washington where they ran a dairy farm and have lived since.
Margaret was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Deer Park, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her husband Earl; and a son, David; and four brothers and four sisters: (Ted, Chuck, Vincent, Ken, Donna, Ruth, Delpha, and Helen).
Margaret is survived by her daughter, Ruth Marie Moore of Albany, Oregon and husband Harv; sons: Mark A. McLean of Richland, WA and wife Linda, Timothy J. McLean and wife Tammy, Peter D. McLean, and Phillip A. McLean and wife Shelly all of Deer Park, WA and Matthew D. McLean of Metaline Falls, WA; 19 grandchildren: (Scott, Neal, Eric, Sarah, Darene, Travis, Sheena,Trina, Justin, Seth, Ashley, Zach, Tonya, Matthew, Jacob, Gracie, Tyler, Kevin, Courtney); and numerous great-grandchildren: (Destiny, Cordell, Kelly, Nikki, Benjamin, Roslyn, Travis, Nate, Ava, Race, Lyla, Owen, Stella, Ruby, Cael); brothers, William, Daniel, and Michael Wetzler; and sister, Mary Strand.
A Rosary will be held Friday September 26, 2014, 6:00 p.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Deer Park, WA.
A Funeral Mass will be held the next day, Saturday September 27, 2014, 11:00 a.m., also at St. Mary’s Church, and burial will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery in Deer Park, WA.
A potluck reception will follow the Funeral Mass at St. Mary’s Parish Church, 602 E. 6th St, Deer Park, WA 99006
