RG3 dislocates ankle
Quarterback Robert Griffin III’s season is in jeopardy after he dislocated his left ankle in the first quarter of the Washington Redskins’ win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Griffin was scheduled for X-rays and an MRI exam to determine more about the injury.
He and coach Jay Gruden did not offer a timetable for the quarterback’s return, but the injury typically sidelines NFL players for at least two months.
If there is also a fracture, Griffin will need surgery and will most likley be done for the year.

Tonight: Eagles at Colts
In Chip Kelly’s first season as coach, the Philadelphia Eagles led the league in yards rushing and yards per carry, finished second in total yards, and fourth in points per game. In last week’s season opener, the Eagles went right back to work. The defending NFC East champions had 145 yards rushing and ran 82 offensive plays.
Perhaps it seems the Indianapolis Colts should be ready for this tonight (ESPN, 5:30) after dealing with Peyton Manning’s no-huddle offense at Den- ver last week. But coach Chuck Pagano said even that couldn’t help simulate what the Eagles do. Associated Press
