Released Montana’s parole board has decided to release former quarterback Ryan Leaf to authorities in Texas, where he was recently sentenced for violating his probation. The ex-San Diego Chargers and Washington State player has served more than two years in prison after breaking into a home near Great Falls in 2012 to steal prescription pills. A Montana senior parole analyst says the board’s decision means Texas authorities can extradite Leaf if they choose.
Suspended Auburn coach Gus Malzahn says safety Jermaine Whitehead remains suspended. Auburn confirmed his suspension on the eve of the Tigers’ game last Thursday night against Kansas State but hasn’t said when Whitehead will return.
Announced Philadelphia Little League sensation Mo’ne Davis is headed to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Davis, the first girl to win a game at the Little League Baseball World Series, will donate the jersey she wore during the game to the museum on Thursday. She’ll be accompanied by teammates from both her Little League World Series team and her travel team.

Ukraine’s Anna Solovey took silver, while Evelyn Stevens of the United States won bronze. It was Stevens’ second medal of these world championships after coming across the finish line 21 seconds off the pace.
