Obituary: Dawe, Patti Curry

DAWE, Patti Curry February 16, 19_ _ to September 25, 2014 Born to Addison and Ida McCallum, Patti was the youngest of six kids, brothers Dick, Jerry, Don and sisters Virginia and Shirley.

After graduating from Rogers High School Patti married Jack Curry and had four children, Terri (husband Jim and children Alyssa, Jaclyn, Kimmie, Kellie, Robbie, Kirstie and James), Paula (husband Rob and children Jack, Curran and Ryan), son Billy (wife Liz and children Jack and Duncan) and daughter Susan (husband Shaun).

Patti loved them all unconditionally as well as her sixteen great-grandchildren.

Patti was a wonderful wife and mother and enjoyed having fun with her family, going camping and just playing and being silly at home.

After Jack died in 1982, Patti met and married Richard (Dick) Dawe, who she worked with at Farm Credit Bank, and became another mother to his daughter Laura and son Chris (wife Melody and daughter Tessa).

Patti and Dick were married for 30 years and shared a life of fun and laughter, traveling, camping, taking annual trips to the ocean with family and having fun in the pool.

Patti was a prominent and one of Spokane’s top woman bowlers, winning numerous trophies and titles.

A familiar face on the scene in bowling’s hey day, Patti bowled in leagues and tournaments while raising her family then later traveled and bowled in leagues for many years with her husband Dick.

Patti always had fun hosting parties staying up all night playing pool in the basement and taking everyones money playing black jack and poker.

Even Las Vegas was not beyond her reach as she enjoyed winning and then playing more with the “house’s” money.

A devoted grandmother, Patti was always on the look-out for a fun toy or item and loved to spend time and pass on her special brand of fun to all the kids.

Patti was generous and nonjudgmental to everyone she met and left a lasting influence on all who knew her that will be passed down for generations to come.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME, 4305 N DIVISION, Spokane, WA.
