Announced HBO and Showtime, the two cable networks broadcasting the Floyd Mayweather Jr.- Manny Pacquiao fight, said the suggested retail price for the May 2 pay-per-view will be $89.95. Many, though, will end up paying $99.95 because of a surcharge for high definition tacked on by many cable and satellite providers. Depending on how the pay-per-view does, Mayweather could earn some $180 million and Pacquiao $120 million.

Released The Seattle Sounders waived forward Kenny Cooper after the team was unable to find a trade market for the forward. Cooper came to Seattle via a trade with FC Dallas in December 2013. He appeared in 22 MLS matches for Seattle and scored three goals with four assists.

Signed The Sacramento Kings signed Sim Bhullar to a 10-day contract, making Bhullar the NBA’s first player of Indian descent. The 7-foot-5, 360-pound Bhullar was called up from the team’s NBA Development League affiliate, the Reno Bighorns. Bhullar was born in Toronto to Indian-born parents and played two seasons for New Mexico State.

• The Los Angeles Kings have signed forward Tanner Pearson to a two-year, $2.8 million contract extension. Pearson has scored 23 points in 67 games with the Kings. He played a prominent role last year in the Kings’ run to their second championship in three seasons, scoring 12 points in 24 games

Expelled Former Alabama football player Jonathan Taylor is no longer a student at the university after his arrest on domestic violence charges. Also, the 24-year-old woman who accused Taylor of assaulting her later recanted her accusations that Taylor hurt her, and she was charged with False Reporting to Law Enforcement.

Cleared NASCAR driver Kyle Larson has been cleared to return to racing next weekend at Texas Motor Speedway after fainting last weekend during an autograph session. Chip Ganassi Racing said in a statement there has been a “thorough review” of all test results by his physicians and NASCAR’s medical staff. The team has not yet said why he fainted.

Withdrawn Italian team Luna Rossa has announced it will withdraw from the America’s Cup after teams voted to reduce the size of boats to be sailed in the 2017 regatta in Bermuda.

Suspended The NHL suspended Dustin Byfuglien of the Winnipeg Jets for four games without pay for his cross-check to the head of New York Rangers center J.T. Miller.
