Winners will stack up against the odds: High school robot builders from Adna High School, left, and Highline High School huddle behind barriers and remotely operate their robots while competing Friday in a qualifying match at the Pacific Northwest FIRST Robotics Championships at Reese Court at Eastern Washington University. Six teams compete at a time in the arena where the machines must stack and move large boxes and garbage cans. Competition continues this morning, and final matches are after lunch. Admission is free. More information can be found at PNWFIRST.org. (Jesse Tinsley)
