Obituary: Olsen, Florence L. (St. Onge)

OLSEN, Florence L. (St. Onge) Born August 9th, 1921 Died March 18th, 2015 She was born at Sacred Heart Hospital.

Her parents, Gus and Effie St. Onge operated the City Cafe in Hillyard when it was a booming railroad center until 1935.

Her entire life was spent in and around the North side of Spokane.

She and her husband Johnny were very active in the start of Fairwood Retirement Community.

They continued to participate in all of the activities there during their lifetime.

Florence was the longest living of the original owners.

Johnny preceded her in death September 2, 1995 after 55 years of marriage.

Two children, John August Olsen and Kendra Z. Phoenix survive, with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

There will be no service at her request.

Private graveside service at Mt.

Hope Cemetery, where her ashes will be interred.
