Obituary: Ryan, Scott Dean

RYAN, Scott Dean Born February 6, 1954 passed away unexpectedly at home in Medical Lake, WA on March 26, 2015.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Frances Joanne Harbeston and his father, Thomas Dennis Ryan.

Scott graduated from Shadle Park HS in 1973.

He served in the US Navy from 1978 - 1982 on the USS Norton Sound as a boiler tech.

He continued on in that career at Geiger Correctional and Eastern State Hospital until his death.

Scott was a great Varsity HS football player earning a Walla Walla scholarship and avidly played softball while in the Navy.

He continued to be a great fan of all sports, especially hockey.

His joys in life were camping, fishing, target shooting and later in life vacationing on the Oregon coast with his brother.

Scott had quick wit with a great sense of humor and an infectious smile.

You could count on Scott in time of need and was very kind hearted.

He is survived by his brothers, Tim Fitzgerald (Mary Jane), Rick Ryan (Margaret), Jack Ryan (Spokane), Brian McLean (Patty) and Greg Ryan (NY).

He left behind two nephews, four nieces and 11 great nephews and nieces; his Uncle Jack Harbeston (Edris) and many cousins.

Scott Dean beloved son, brother, nephew, cousin.

You will be greatly missed, forever in our hearts, memories and always with us.

There will be a graveside service on April 10th at 5:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery; 211 N. Government Way, Spokane.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to DAV, Altman, Ruoff, Osier Local Chapter #6, 212 S David, Spokane, WA 99207
