Sandpoint Arts and Crafts Fair - This two-day event features artists and artisans from across the West. Valley Piecemakers Quilt and Craft Club Show: “Prairie Patchwork” – An opportunity to view all sizes of quilts and craft items made by area residents and their ancestors. This show is part of Paul Bunyan Days in St. Maries. Merchant malls, demonstrations, a country store, works by Bonnie Martin, our featured quilter, and the drawing for the winner of the club’s 2015 Raffle Quilt. Refreshments are available for visitors. Buried in Treasures Hoarding Facilitated Workshop - Sept. 9-Nov. 25. Have your things taken over your house, life, and social calendar? Would you like to learn tips on how to declutter and stop overacquiring – from people who know what it’s like? Lightening the Load is offering a 12 week “Buried in Treasure” facilitated support group for individuals with hoarding issues. Hoarding is when individuals continue to accumulate items, such as clothes, newspapers and food, and then have persistent difficulty discarding possessions. Individuals with hoarding behaviors often face health issues related to falls, as well as run the risk of losing their homes. This workshop takes place over 12 weeks with a weekly workshop session. Pend Oreille County Fair and Rodeo - Aug. 20-23. Family fun and entertainment, live music, games for one and all, contests, livestock, still-life exhibits, community dance on Friday and Saturday night.
