Obituary: Rossi, Teresa V.

ROSSI, Teresa V. “Teri” (Age 90) Passed away July 31, 2015 in Spokane, WA.

She was born December 27, 1924, in Danbury, CT to Oreste and Margaret DelMonte.

In 1945, she married Sydney A. Rossi, who predeceased her in 1980.

The couple had three children, Aleta Markham of New Milford, CT, Lisa Blumenkrantz, of Milpitas, CA,, and Alan Rossi of Spokane, as well as two grandchildren, Daniel, of Chicago Il, and Rachel of Loveland, CO, all of whom survive her.

Mrs. Rossi received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Western Connecticut State University (then Western Connecticut State College.)

Teri was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles, and spent many a Sunday afternoon working on the Sunday New York Times crossword puzzle with the help, sometimes solicited and sometimes not, of her devoted husband.

In the course of her life she lived in four cities, and made many loyal friends.

She will be missed greatly.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1517 East 33rd, Spokane, Washington, beginning with a Vigil Service on Thursday, August 13th, at 7:00 PM conducted by Deacon Daniel Glatt.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated the following day, Friday, August 14th at 11:00 A.M. at the church, at which Fr.

Miguel Mejia will be the principal celebrant.

Immediately after will be a reception in the parish hall, and all guests are encouraged to visit and remember Teri.

Graveside service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Perhaps ironically, Mrs. Rossi’s two favorite things were cats and birds.

For this reason, in lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Spokanimal, 710 North Napa St., Spokane, WA 99202.
