Obituary: Wormuth, Marjorie Mary
Age 94
Their family moved to Post Falls, Idaho, leaving the dust bowl behind, when she was thirteen.
She graduated from Post Falls High School.
Before WWII, she worked as a telephone operator in Seattle.
During World War WWII, she worked at Kaiser Aluminum Trentwood plant in eastern Washington State, where she met her future mother-in-law.
After her marriage in 1948, to Vernon Wormuth, they lived in Post Falls before moving to a small farm in Otis Orchards, WA.
Marjorie was a loving mother to her three children and hardworking partner with her husband.
She managed much of the farm duties and participated at school and church functions.
She taught Sunday school at the Otis Orchards Community Church for many years.
After returning to live in Post Falls, she volunteered at a local elementary school to work with students who needed extra attention for reading or math.
Marjorie always loved her flower gardens.
She loved to have fun and played Wii bowling into the last months of her life.
Marjorie Wormuth was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon K. Wormuth and son, Willard H. Wormuth.
She is survived by her children Elizabeth A.
Young (Jerry Young), Newport, OR, and Willis R. Wormuth (Carol Wormuth), Grants Pass, OR; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and her twin sister, Ruth E. Montanye, Spokane, WA.
Memorial Service to be held at Red Lion Templin’s Hotel on the River, Post Falls, Idaho, on Friday August 14, 2015 at 4:00pm.
