People: Former first daughter has second daughter
NBC News correspondent Jenna Bush Hager and her husband have welcomed their second daughter.
Former President George W. Bush said in a statement that Poppy Louise Hager was born Thursday in New York.
She’s named after Jenna’s grandfather, former President George H.W. Bush, who was called Poppy as a child.
Hager and her husband, Henry, also have a 2-year-old daughter, who is named Margaret Laura after her grandmothers. She is called Mila.
Hayek obtains restraining order
A judge on Friday ordered two women to stay away from Salma Hayek and her family after the actress accused them of impersonating her and threatening to kidnap her daughter.
Superior Court Judge M.D. Fried ordered Liana Philippon and Odette Bodagh to stay 100 yards away from Hayek and her family and cease any activities to impersonate her.
The order also applies to Hayek’s husband and 7-year-old daughter.
Depp receives Disney Legend honor
Although he might have been one in spirit, Johnny Depp is now a Disney Legend in title, too. The actor made a surprise appearance at Disney’s D23 Expo, a fan convention, to accept the honor from Disney CEO Bob Iger on Friday.
Depp has starred in Disney’s “Pirates of the Caribbean” series as Captain Jack Sparrow as well as their live-action “Alice in Wonderland” as the Mad Hatter.
The actor said that he doesn’t like the words “fan” or “legend” but thanked the 7,500 audience members for giving him the “opportunity to do stupid stuff for a living.”
Other 2015 Disney Legends inductees included “Star Wars” creator George Lucas and composer Danny Elfman, who were previously announced.
D23, now in its fourth year, runs through Sunday.
