Obituary: Richardson, Lawrence N.
Age 93
He was 93.
The son of Neal and Genevieve, he was born September 24th 1921, on the family farm in Fairfield, WA.
In 1941 he enlisted in the Army Air Corps and was stationed on numerous islands throughout the South Pacific.
In 1944, in Rockville, MD, he married his wife Eleanor who was serving as a Wave in the Navy.
After the war, Larry received his degree from Gonzaga University and then he and Eleanor returned to farming near Fairfield where they began raising their four children.
In 1961 they bought a farm in Quincy, WA where he was a prominent member of the St. Pius X Catholic Church Parish and played a major role in the church’s reconstruction after a fire in 1984.
Lawrence is survived by his three children Laura Ward, Greg Richardson and Royce (Douglas) Richardson; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor, six months prior, and his son Larry in 1972.
A Funeral Mass will be held in Quincy at the St. Pius X Catholic Church on Monday, August 24th at 11:00 am.
