People: Obama does Seinfeld show

From wire reports

President Barack Obama will be Jerry Seinfeld’s first guest when the seventh season of his online talk show, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” opens Dec. 30.

The show features the New York comedian picking up fellow comics in classic cars and taking them out for coffee and conversation.

Obama and Seinfeld spoke at the White House earlier this month. The White House says they took turns circling the South Lawn in a 1963 Corvette Stingray split window coupe before chatting over coffee in a basement dining room. They spoke about what makes White House life both remarkable and routine.

The interview is scheduled to be released Dec. 30 on Crackle, the Sony Pictures’ online network, and at Comediansincarsgettingcoffee.com.

Ukraine bans Limp Bizkit’s Durst

Ukrainian news media are reporting that the country’s national security service has banned the leader of the group Limp Bizkit from entering the country for five years.

Fred Durst, the founder of the group and its lead singer, was quoted in news reports in October as saying he was interested in buying a house in Crimea, the Black Sea region annexed by Russia in 2014.

The Ukrainian online publication Apostrof on Monday reported that the security service in November had banned Durst’s entry for five years “in the interests of guaranteeing the security of our state.” The Interfax news agency reported that the security service had confirmed the ban but did not give details.

Chelsea Clinton expecting 2nd child

There may be one more Clinton on the campaign trail next fall. Chelsea Clinton, the only child of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, announced Monday that she is expecting her second child next summer.

“Charlotte is going to be a big sister! Feeling very blessed & grateful this holiday season,” Chelsea Clinton wrote on Twitter.

Chelsea Clinton, 35, and her father have largely stayed off the campaign trail since Hillary Clinton launched her Democratic bid for the presidency in April. Both have said they plan to intensify their public political roles after the New Year in an effort to boost Clinton’s campaign just six weeks before the first round of primary voting.

Chelsea Clinton is married to hedge fund manager Marc Mezvinsky, the son of former U.S. Reps. Edward Mezvinsky and Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky.
