Obituary: Hink, Monya “Minnie”
She came across the Atlantic from the Ukraine as a baby.
They were too late to catch their scheduled transport, the Titanic, so waited for the next ship.
She was raised in Colbert and graduated from Mead High School in 1929.
In 1937 she married Charles Hink and became a devoted homemaker, wife and mother.
Her hobbies included gardening and taking care of neighborhood strays.
Minnie is survived by her daughter, Helene (Barry) Roach, and her sister, Rose Poutre.
The family is deeply thankful for the care she received at Cheney Care Center.
A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6 with visitation beginning at 9:00 AM at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division in Spokane.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to SCRAPS at 6815 East Trent Avenue, Spokane Valley, WA 99212.
