Obituary: Richardson, Eleanor Frances (Mauk)
Age 92
She was 92.
Born In Spokane, WA on April 6th 1922, she was the daughter of James and Mamie Mauk.
She attended school at North Central and West Valley and then later attained her degree from Kinman Business University while working as a candy girl at the Woolworths store.
She also worked at the Spokane County Courthouse until she joined the service and became a WAVE in the navy.
While performing her 26 months of service duty she married Lawrence Richardson on December 14, 1944 in Rockville, Maryland.
After the war they farmed near Fairfield, Washington and then in 1961 they moved to Quincy, Washington where they raised their four children.
Eleanor is survived by her husband Lawrence, three children: Laura Ward, Greg Richardson and Royce (Doug) Richardson, eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son Larry in 1972.
There will be a rosary at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Chapel in Wenatchee on Wednesday, February 11th at 7:00 pm.
A Funeral Mass will be held in Quincy at the St. Pius Catholic Church on Thursday February 12th at 2:00 pm.
