Outlook: This season’s only matchup between Arizona State and Washington State holds some postseason intrigue since the Cougars (10-13, 4-7 Pac-12) and Sun Devils (12-11, 4-6) are so close in the Pac-12 standings. Whichever team wins on Friday will pick up a fifth conference win and have an easier path to a more manageable first game in the upcoming Pac-12 tournament. ASU has played well lately, winning four of its last six games, including last week’s upset of No. 6 Arizona. But the Sun Devils have won just one road game this season, while the Cougars are 2-2 at home against Pac-12 competition.
