Dingus, Zarecor & Associates PLLC has promoted Brennan Pendleton and Garrett Gfeller from staff accountants to senior accountants. Pendleton is a graduate of Washington State University and Gfeller is a graduate of Gonzaga University. Pendleton and Gfeller both have experience with health care and nonprofit organizations.

Education

Washington State University Spokane has hired Elysia Spencer as community engagement coordinator. Previously, Spencer was an administrative assistant in the city of Spokane Office of Police Ombudsman.

The Council for Christian Colleges and Universities has named Bill Robinson, president emeritus at Whitworth University, as the 2015 recipient of the Senator Mark O. Hatfield Leadership Award. This award is the council’s highest recognition and is given to individuals who exemplify Christian leadership and service. Robinson served as president of Whitworth from 1993 to 2010. He currently serves as chair of the board of trustees at Princeton Theological Seminary.

Engineering

Trindera Engineering has hired Jeanne Kelso and Peggy Ask as administrative assistants. Previously, Kelso was a records specialist at Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office and Ask was an executive administrative assistant at Signature Genomics Laboratories.

Finance

Numerica Credit Union has named Liesel Kittlitz as an associate board member. Kittlitz is the director of marketing and sales for Global Financial Markets Institute and has more than 20 years of experience in the education, training and corporate performance improvement industry.

David Himebaugh and Brian Side have joined R.W. Baird. Himebaugh is part of the Spokane and Coeur d’Alene private wealth management team. He has 29 years of experience in the financial industry and works as senior vice president. Side is part of the Spokane private wealth management team and works as a financial adviser. Himebaugh and Side were previously with Wells Fargo Advisors.

Mark Kinney has joined Thrivent Financial as a financial representative for the Northwest Region. Previously, Kinney was executive director at Mission Community Outreach Center.

Law

Peter Moye has joined the firm of Workland & Witherspoon PLLC as counsel. He practices law in Washington, California and Idaho and has experience in estate planning, probate and trust, business, tax, planned giving and real estate law. Moye serves as a member of the Business Law Section, and Real Property, Probate and Tax Section of the Washington State Bar Association.

Broadway Flying J Travel Plazas raised $3,087.27 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure through its Pink Hat campaign.

SNAP announced that Washington state Rep. Jeff Holy and Mary Murphy, community volunteer, are new members of the organization’s board of directors. Other members are: chair, Jacquelyn High-Edward, attorney; vice chair, John Hemmingson of Lakeside Capital Group LLC; secretary and treasurer, P.J. Grabicki, attorney.
