Obituary: Smith, Gary Roger

SMITH, Gary Roger On February 4, 2015, Gary Smith, of Deer Park , WA, went home to be with his Lord.

Gary was born May 24, 1945, in Dallas, Oregon.

He was a simple man, with a deep love for his family and an appreciation for God’s great outdoors.

He had a passion for bow hunting, even though his successes were few.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Tomi; his daughters, Teresa Smith and Laurie Conger (Joe), and son James Smith (Tanna); three specially-loved grandchildren, Brandee Payne (Patrick), Guy Conger (Abigail) and Donald (DJ) Smith; siblings Linda Bernstein (Sam), Richard Smith (Patricia), and Julie Howerton (Rob); in addition to cherished brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He would have rejoiced in the upcoming births of his two great-grandchildren in June 2015.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Dorothy Smith and grandson, Gary Tyler Elwood Smith.

We love you and will keep you in our hearts until we meet again, dear Gary.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015, at 11:00 AM, at Suncrest Family Worship Center, 6048 Highway 291, Nine Mile Falls, WA The family would appreciate any donations made in Gary’s memory be to the American SIDS Institute, 528 Raven Way, Naples, Florida, 34110, or to Suncrest Family Worship Center at the address shown above.
