Obituary: Elliott, Virginia Evelyn

Age 96

ELLIOTT, Virginia Evelyn (Age 96) Passed away on February 20, 2015.

Virginia was born to Mason and Onie (Ramsey) Reed on January 23, 1919 in Spokane.

Virginia married David Ayler in 1941.

Virginia and David worked side by side in their hardware store in North Spokane and later opened a ceramics shop, “Ayler’s Ceramics”.

For a time, Virginia had operated the ceramics business out of her home; with classes in the dining room and the kiln in the basement.

The business finally outgrew her home and she and David decided to get out of hardware and open up the ceramic shop in its place.

After David’s passing in 1967, Virginia married Lawson Elliott and enjoyed traveling in their motor home to the Tri Cities, the coast and to area lakes; Waitts Lake being their favorite.

Virginia enjoyed many hobbies including painting and gardening.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in- law: Beverly and Merle Babcock, as well as by her first husband, David, and husband, Lawson.

Lovingly remembering Virginia are her daughters Melanie (Robert) Paschall and Patricia (Tom) Reser, her grandchildren Stacy Culver (Liz) and James Paschall, great-grandchildren David and Michael Culver, Lawson’s family, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made in Virginia’s name to the charity of your choice.

Special thanks to St. Joseph’s in Spokane for the care they provided.
