Area men: Sasquatch score 117 points in rout

Jake Love made 10 of 13 shots, including 4 of 5 3-pointers, and scored 25 points as red-hot Community Colleges of Spokane routed Blue Mountain 117-91 in Northwest Athletic Conference play Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College.

CCS (12-6, 2-1) made 16 of 26 3s and 23 of 26 free throws. J.J. Winger and Orin Porter both added 19 points for the Sasquatch, who got 50 points from nonstarters. The T-Wolves fell to 4-11 overall and 0-3 in the NWAC.

Whitworth 89, George Fox 68: Christian Jurlina led five players in double figures with 23 points and the Pirates (13-2, 6-0) shined offensively in a Northwest Conference win over the Bruins (4-11, 2-4) in Newberg, Oregon. George Valle added 19 points, Matt Staudacher had 13 and Taylor Farnsworth and Kenny Love each added 10 for Whitworth, which shot 55.6 percent from the floor.

Southern Idaho 80, North Idaho 72: Fredrick Edmond led five players in double figures with 17 points and also pulled down eight rebounds in leading the visiting Golden Eagles (21-0, 6-0) past the Cardinals (14-5, 2-4) in a Scenic West Athletic Conference game. NIC’s Braian Angola tallied a team-high 19 points and Jordan King chipped in 15.
