Big Sky: Sacramento State edges Weber State, stay atop league
Mikh McKinney scored a career-high 33 points and Sacramento State beat Weber State 78-71 in Ogden, Utah on Saturday.
McKinney was 10 of 16 from the floor, including 5 of 7 from beyond the arc. Dylan Garrity added 18 points for Sacramento State (13-6, 7-1), which remains in first in the Big Sky by a half-game.
Weber State (8-11, 3-5) was led by Joel Bolomboy with a career-high 21 points. He added 13 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season.
Montana 58, Southern Utah 56: Martin Breunig and Jordan Gregory scored 15 points apiece as the Grizzlies beat the Thunderbirds in Missoula.
Mario Dunn had 14 points and led Montana with seven rebounds. Riley Bradshaw chipped in 10 points.
Race Parsons scored 13 points for Southern Utah.
Idaho State 80, Portland State 76: Chris Hansen and Nnamdi Ezenwa scored 17 points apiece leading the Bengals to a win over the Vikings in Pocatello.
Ezenwa made 3 of 6 from 3-point range and grabbed eight rebounds for Idaho State. Jeffrey Solarin added 15 points.
DaShaun Wiggins led the Vikings with 16 points. Tiegbe Bamba added 12 and 10 rebounds.
Northern Arizona 71, Montana State 64: Quinton Upshur hit five 3-pointers and scored 18 points – 14 in the second half – to lead a balanced attack for the Lumberjacks in a win over the Bobcats at Bozeman.
Michael Dison led Montana State with 18 points.
