Grant county fugitive on run

An armed and dangerous fugitive is on the loose near Royal City, Washington. The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is asking residents of the Royal City area to stay inside and stay vigilant. The sheriff’s office is looking for David Santos. He is described as a Hispanic man, who is 5 feet 10 inches tall and 215 pounds. The Royal City Police Department responded to a domestic violence call on Tuesday night, said Grant County Sheriff Public Information Officer Kyle Foreman. At that time Santos fired at a police officer and then fled. Today he was pulled over, and again fired at officers. He then fled on foot into nearby fruit orchards, Foreman said. No officers were injured in either shooting. Santos’ condition is unknown. “We know he’s out here hiding in these orchards here,” Foreman said. About 70 police officers are searching for Santos, Foreman said.
