Obituary: Gillespie, Elizabeth Claudia
“Claudia” was born in Spokane Valley in 1942 and attended Vera Grade School, Central Valley Junior High and High School.
After graduation from CV, she attended the University of Montana in Missoula.
In 1964 Claudia and a friend got on a Greyhound bus and travelled to New York City where she worked for several years.
When she returned to the west coast from New York she worked for several accounting firms.
She retired in 2009 after 24 years as secretary in the Rosauers Corporate office.
Claudia loved to bowl and made many lasting friendships on the teams she bowled with and travelled with to various tournaments.
While she never achieved that perfect 300 game, she had two scores of 299 to her credit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Elizabeth Gillespie; and survived by three brothers, Paul Jr., Peter and Jeff and one sister, Ann.
She was extremely proud of her niece, Alison Brand and nephew Anthony (Bo) Brand.
Family was always #1 in Claudia’s heart as she will always be in ours and she will be missed tremendously.
The Funeral Service is scheduled for Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00am at Thornhill Valley Chapel, 1400 S. Pines Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
