In brief: Cheney imposes water use limits

CHENEY – To protect reservoir levels, Cheney Mayor Tom Trulove has announced water use restrictions.

Lawn watering is allowed only from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Homes without programmable sprinkler systems may water starting at 8 p.m.

Street addresses determine watering schedule, with odd numbers watering on odd dates, even on even dates.

Residents are asked to restrict lawn watering to 1 inch per week and use drip or hand watering for flowers and gardens.

For information on Cheney’s water resources, visit www.cityofcheney.org or call (509) 498-9267.
