Hammond Ole Wilson celebrated his 100th birthday on June 17. He was born June 17, 1915, in Wiseman, Alaska. He has called Spokane home since 1992.
Hammond met his wife, Betty Wilson, at a dance in Bremerton. They were married in 1948.
Hammond credits his long life to finding enjoyment in family, fishing and watching sports, especially the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks.
Hammond’s daughter and son-in-law are Karla and Henry Hill, of Spokane. He has two grandchildren.
