Obituary: De La Cruz, Humberto
Age 72
Bert was born in Mexico on March 25, 1943 and shortly after moved to Texas.
He grew up in the “Lone Star State” where he loved fishing, camping, playing cards and listening to music.
Later in life, he moved to Dallas, Oregon.
Here he worked at Charlie’s Boat and RV Storage for 20 years.
This is also where he met his wife Jodi Lavenger.
He gained an instant family with Jodi - children who he loved and adored.
Together they had six children.
In 1983 Jodi and Bert moved to Spokane where they spent the rest of their lives.
In February of 2013 Bert lost the love of his life, Jodi.
The family was there to support him during that difficult time.
Bert is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jodi.
He is survived by his six children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A family gathering will be announced at a later date.
