Area roundup: Eagles’ football, volleyball season tickets on sale Monday

Beginning Monday, Eastern Washington fans will be able to purchase season tickets for football and volleyball.

Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online at goeags.com/tickets or by calling (509) 359-4339.

Single-game tickets for six football road games will also go on sale Monday. The Eagles’ home opener is Sept. 19, when Montana State visits Roos Field for a nonconference game.

The volleyball team will appear at Reese Court nine times during 2015, opening with a nonconference match against Corban on Sept. 17.

Barr signs pro deal

Stacey Barr, Idaho’s all-time leader in 3-point field goals, signed a contract with the Women’s National Basketball League’s Perth Lynx in her home country of Australia on Wednesday.

Barr made 268 3-pointers for the Vandals.

The Melbourne native and the Lynx agreed to a one-year deal.
