Obituary: Keller, Robert Edward “Bob”
Age 89
KELLER, Robert Edward “Bob” Bob was born in Ritzville to Michael and Mary Keller, the oldest of three children.
After graduating from Cashmere high school in 1944 he joined the Marine Corps, 4th Marine Division, where he was a machine gunner in the Battle of Iwo Jima during WWII.
He returned home and took some classes at Farragut College.
Bob met his future wife, Florence Healy, at a USO dance in Coeur D’ Alene.
They were married in 1948 and during their more than 60 years together raised six children: Marilyn, Mike, Mark, Marsha, Matt, and Martin.
Bob is also survived by eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is preceded by his wife Florence and brother Ray.
Bob passed peacefully in the presence of family.
Services will be held Saturday, June 20th at 11:00 am, at St. Joseph’s in Otis Orchards.
